Describe the most useful resource you have found to help you develop your Genius Hour Project?
I have found the Internet to be the most useful resource in developing my Genius Hour Project. Using the Internet has made researching Sales Representatives easier because it answers every question I have. There are millions of websites describing the career, skills, and responsibilities. I am not able to interview every person in this career who covers every branch of Sales Reps, so reading articles online provides all the information I need.
The Internet also provides statistics about how successful this career path is and whether it is a dying occupation. Using this technology is most prevalent in society because a great amount of people use it every second of the day. I am comfortable with using the Internet, which makes retaining the information easier and quicker. This resource is also more accessible for anywhere I may be. I can work on my Genius Hour Project at school, home, work, or in the car.
How could you use your Genius Hour time more effectively?
By using my time more effectively for my Genius Hour Project I could be preparing a presentation with facts about Sales Representatives. I could incorporate the resources' information into a slide show comparing the different types of Sales Reps. Presenting percentages and salaries about the careers could also be created in my Genius Hour time. Maybe instead of researching for a whole hour, I could use the time to show other students and adults, especially the people most interested in this career, the facts about Sales Representatives.
I also need to be motivated while working on my project. Genius hour is all about effort and learning. I have the potential to make this study effect others by educating them. If I did not lose interest in researching after a little bit, then I would accomplish more. Sometimes I become distracted and think about other school work I have to get done the following week or weekend. Since Genius Hours are on Fridays, my thoughts wonder away from school and I do not progress on my project so if I stay on track, my time would be used more effectively.
