Get Organized!!!
Make sure to write everything down, if it something you need to do in the future like work or an assignment, it would be a good idea to write it down.
A white board, or an organizer is a good thing to have so you can prioritize your to-do list.
Make sure to keep your desk or homework area organized, this eliminates any distractions and actually helps you to study and do homework.
Find A Study Buddy
Getting a study buddy is a great idea, however probably make sure it is not someone who is your best friend or boyfriend. Maybe ask a person who has been in one of your previous classes before, not only will you stay focused but you might even make a new friend.
Take Notes By Hand
Taking notes will help you remember some of the subject that you learned, even after taking these notes transferring them to note cards will ask help you learn.
Study off Flashcards
Like I said while writing these flashcards, not only are they a great way to learn while writing them but they also are a great study tool.
Study EVERYDAY
Some may say this is pointless in high school, which may be true. This may be true because some people may be able to study for a test one or two days before their test, but in college this is a little different. There is too much material to study in one night for a college test, so it would be wise is you study everyday.
Don’t always study your book
We have all had that one teacher who never used their book in high school, instead rather that teacher gave you worksheets or just lectured you. Same is true for college, sadly we still have to spend hundreds of dollars on text books that will never be used in our college course. How will you know if the teacher uses the book though? At the beginning of the semester if the teacher refers to the book a lot, you know for sure that the book is actually going to be put into use. If that is not the case, before your first test in that class study the book for the test to see.
Set Goals
Relax
Relaxing will come hand in hand if you study such chapters and notes assigned everyday, and in the end you will be prepared for that test and not have to pull an all nighter.
Use Your Syllabus
Typically on the first day of that class, a teacher will pass out their syllabus. This syllabus will tell you everything you need to know about that class! Syllabuses in college tend you tell you when everything is due, how many points it is worth, what you should be reading each day, etc.
